Hundreds of ghosts, ghouls and witches flocked to Futuna Chapel this Halloween as Friend Street once again closed the road for an evening of scary, sugary fun.
This was the first time the Chapel has opened its doors for Halloween with Chairman Nick Bevin dressed in black and dishing out sweets and an estimated 400 visitors.
“Joining in the Halloween celebrations in Friend Street was floated by one of our supporters and documentary maker, Rob Sarkies. I didn’t expect the Chapel to get so many visitors so we will need to make sure to have a lot more sweets next year,” says Nick.
Different to the usual visitor profile, the age of these scary guests was estimated to be between 4 – 15 years old.
“Offering an opportunity for other age groups to experience the Chapel is certainly one we are keen to grow and it was delightful to see how much the kids and their caregivers took in the Chapel environment,” says Nick.
